Dr. Autumn L. Drouin D.V.M., N.D., FCAH
Autumn's love and passion for animals and their welfare led her to the Ontario College of Veterinary Medicine.
After graduation in 1977, she immediately started researching natural therapies such as nutrition, herbs, acupuncture, and homeopathy and applying them in her veterinary practice. Because of the excellent results she observed in her patients using natural treatment methods, she embarked on another course of study at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, from which she graduated as a Naturopathic Doctor in 1989.
Upon graduation she received the annual award for excellence in homeopathy. In 2000 she graduated from the Canadian Academy of Homeopathy.
The art and science of medicine is a lifelong study to which Dr. Drouin is dedicated. She continues to regularly attend seminars, courses, and conferences on various medical and veterinary topics. She lecture both to the public and to professionals on veterinary naturopathic medicine.
Dr Sasan Haghighat DVM , CVA
Dr. Sasan Haghighat, also known as “Dr. Sasan”, graduated from Veterinary School in 1995. He went on to take additional training in Germany before preparing for his licensing exams in Ontario. He started working at the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in Newmarket and soon developed a new passion: healing starts from the inside, and the more he practised veterinary medicine, the less medication he prescribed. His Mantra soon became Let Food be your Medicine and Medicine be your Food.
For over six years has worked at the Veterinary Emergency Clinic (VEC) in Toronto. During the same time, he worked with the Earth Rangers and at a private practice in the York Region. At this stage of his career, he came to realize the importance of providing a suitable environment for the body to heal itself. This led him to attend the Chi Institute in Florida where he studied veterinary acupuncture and food therapy (including herbs) based on traditional Chinese medicine.
In 2006, he met Dr. Autumn Drouin and started to work closely with her at North-East Newmarket Veterinary Services. They successfully combined their treatment modalities including Naturopathic medicine, Homotoxicology, Herbal Medicine, Acupuncture, and conventional medicine when needed. They immediately saw a tremendous improvement in their patients' overall health and well-being.
In his free time Sasan enjoys cooking, traveling, taking his dog, Tessa, for long hikes and preparing home-made food for his cat, Dude. |
